Justice For LPU Survivor— No Uniform, No Party, No Institution Above the Law

To:

The President of India | The Chief Justice of India | National Commission for Women | Punjab Government | Lovely Professional University | Indian Air Force | UN Women | Amnesty International | Equality Now | Global Fund for Women

We, the people of India and the global community, demand justice for the LPU survivor — and accountability for every institution that enabled, ignored, delayed, or covered up this crime.

 What Happened?
A female student at Lovely Professional University was allegedly gang-raped after outsiders were allowed into the girls’hostel. The hostel warden is accused of taking money from Indian Air Force personnel and political workers to permit their entry. When the survivor reported it, no action was taken for days. The university called it “rumours.” Police found “no evidence”and lathi-charged protesting students.
A young woman’s body is not a rumour. Her pain is not a “social media claim.”
This Is India’s Rape Emergency
- One rape is reported every 16 minutes.
- Over 32,000 rapes are reported every year.
- Conviction rate: 24.4% — fewer than one in four.
- Over 200,000 rape cases are pending in courts.
- Average time to justice: 5–10 years.
When conviction is 24%, every perpetrator hears: *You will walk free.
When 200,000 cases rot in court, every survivor hears: Your pain is not worth the system’s time.

The Whole Chain Must Answer! We Hope:
The university:LPU administration and the warden allegedly enabled access to the girls’ hostel. They must be arrested, prosecuted, and face a national audit of hostel security.
The police: They delayed the FIR, ignored the survivor, and attacked students. Responsible officers must be suspended, investigated, and charged.
The government:Punjab and central authorities must not protect anyone because of uniform, party, money, or power. Any cover-up must lead to resignation and prosecution.
The Indian Air Force: If personnel were involved, they must be handed over to civil law. No military shield. No internal cover-up.
The courts: This case must go to a fast-track court and be decided within 6 months. The 200,000-case backlog is a national shame.
Political parties: Any worker, leader, or cadre involved must be treated as a criminal — not protected as a party member.

Our Demands:
1. Independent CBI/SIT probe with judicial oversight — no local cover-up.
2. Arrest and prosecute everyone— perpetrators, the warden, Air Force personnel, political workers, and any official who took money or destroyed evidence.
3. Full accountability for LPU administration and a national audit of all university hostel security.
4. Punish police negligence — officers who delayed the FIR or attacked protesting students must face action.
5. Fast-track trial within 6 months and public reporting of progress.
6. Protection for the survivor and witnesses— no intimidation, no “compromise,” no pressure to withdraw.
7. Global women’s organizations** must monitor this case, send observers, and pressure India until justice is delivered.
We Are Nirbhaya. We Are Every Woman They Failed.
In 2012, Jyoti Singh was gang-raped in Delhi. India promised: never again.
It happened again. And again. And again.
The LPU survivor is Nirbhaya’s daughter. She is our sister. She is us.
We will not let her name be buried under“no evidence.”
We will not let her campus become another statistic.
We will not let a uniform, a party card, or a powerful institution buy immunity from rape.
No uniform. No party. No university. No police. No court. No government.
No one is above the law.
Sign. Share. Roar. Until she gets justice.

Unless the gaps in the system are closed, today it is LPU — tomorrow it will be another campus.

First the police denied it, then they filed an FIR. Everyone understands what that U-turn means.

It's easy to say "may she rest in peace". The hard part is finding out the truth.
